EQET SEE project – regionally based locksmith qualification standards developed

Following the development of the first regionally based Agricultural technician of traditional and organic cultivation qualification standard within the Enhancements in the quality of education and training in SEE – EQET SEE project, the VET component project partners proceeded towards developing the second regionally based qualification standard for locksmith. 

The EQET SEE project partners, VET and qualification agencies and chamber of commerce from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia jointly developed the second regionally based occupational standard for locksmith based on the Methodology for regionally based qualification standards that was developed within the Towards regionally based occupational standards – TO REGOS project.

The locksmith qualification standard was created by the regional working group that comprised of education and business representatives from all six EQET SEE economies. They gathered in Tirana, Albania and Bar, Montenegro in the first half of 2023 to jointly develop the regional standard based on the regionally based locksmith occupational standard and the recommendations for the integration of crosscutting topics of environmental and social sustainability and gender equity made by external experts.

The locksmith qualification standard is available in English with translations to Albanian, Macedonian and Serbian.
