EQET SEE Regionally Based Occupational Standard for Agricultural Technician of Traditional and Organic Cultivation Developed
The Enhancements in the quality of education and training in SEE – the EQET SEE project, kick started its activities within the VET component of the project by reaching its first milestone: the development of the regionally based Agricultural technician of traditional and organic cultivation occupational standard (ATTOOS) .
The first step in the developmental process was the implementation of 18 national meetings in six EQET SEE economies (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia). The meetings were organised by VET centres, qualification agencies (QA) in the cooperation with the chambers of commerce in March and April 2022. The national inputs were compiled into regional proposal and analysed by the experts for social and environmental sustainability and gender equity.
The regional proposal was then consolidated and validated in the regional working group consisting of business and education experts from six economies. The three-day regional consolidation ended with the regional validation of the Agricultural technician of traditional and organic cultivation occupational standard. The translation of the standard is available in Albanian, Macedonian and Serbian language.
The next steps for the EQET SEE project regional working group is the development of the regionally based Agricultural technician of traditional and organic cultivation qualification standard.
