Supporting the modernisation of VET education in the Western Balkans
The VET component of the Enhancements in the quality of education and training in SEE – the EQET SEE project continued its activities towards supporting the modernisation and increasing relevance of the VET education in the Western Balkans.
The EQET SEE project partners, VET and qualification agencies and chambers of commerce from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia and together with the business and education experts finalised the locksmith regionally based occupational standard. The standard is available in English with translations in Albanian, Macedonian and Serbian. Based on the regionally based occupational standard the EQET SEE partners moved towards developing the locksmith regionally based qualification standard. The locksmith qualification standard is available in English with translations to Albanian, Macedonian and Serbian.
As for the agriculture sector, the EQET SEE implementing partners guided by the ERI SEE continued towards developing regional agriculture technician teaching and learning material and work-based guidelines for the first time in the region of Western Balkan. The material has been finalised in December 2023 and will be published on the EQET SEE project website in the first part of 2024.
The next year, 2024, is expected to bring the regional teaching and learning material for locksmith and the development of trainings for teachers, company instructors and school coordinators implementing the agricultural technician and locksmith curricula.
