3rd Meeting of the Danube Region Platform on Centres of Vocational Excellence: Greening of VET in the Danube Region: Changing skill demands and the role of Centres of Vocational Excellence, 17 April 2024

The 3rd Meeting of the Danube Region Platform on Centres of Vocational Excellence took place on 17 April  2024 in Vienna, Austria, emphasising the critical role of vocational education in addressing evolving skill demands for the green transition. Hosted by the OeAD – Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation and the Education Training Foundation (ETF), the conference featured key sessions focusing on green skills in construction and energy sectors, interactive discussions on cooperation, and presentations showcasing innovative initiatives.

Representatives from the Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe (ERI SEE) actively participated in shaping the discourse. Ms Tina Šarić and Ms Marina Papović represented ERI SEE in the panel discussion on the response of VET to the green transition, offering insights from the South Eastern European perspective. Their contributions highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and knowledge exchange in advancing vocational education for sustainable development.
