3rd meeting of the Regional Group of Experts on Quality Assurance in General Education: Training on a Quality Management System – Common Assessment Framework (CAF), 6th and 7th December, Podgorica
Together with the Austrian Centre for Public Administration Research, and support of ReSPA (Regional School of Public Administration), ERI SEE organized a two-day training in Podgorica on the use of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF). The training was aimed at representatives of public agencies/centres from the region in charge of quality assurance in general education on the subject of quality management – one of the recognized priorities in the needs analysis conducted among the agencies in 2017.
Within a project that ReSPA is implementing under the agreement with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), on capacity building of public bodies in the region, the QA agencies from the region were recognized as potential beneficiaries. For that reason ERI SEE organized a training for the representatives of public agencies/ centres in charge of quality assurance in general education.
The training analyzed the possibilities of the use of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF), which is an EU-designed total quality management system, at the QA institutions’ level as well as schools’ level. The participants had the opportunity to listen to presentation by CAF experts from Austria and Finland and participate in training sessions and see in practice how CAF could be implemented in each of their respective organizations.
The QA institutions showed interest in the concept of CAF so further actions are planned in this respect.
