Action Plan Supporting Education and Training for the Renewable Energy Sector
The Action Plan Supporting Education and Training for the Renewable Energy Sector has been developed and published within the framework of the Renewable Energy Services in Education and Training (RESET) project, an ERI SEE-led component of the regional initiative Green Agenda: Decarbonizing the Electricity Sector in the Western Balkans, implemented by GIZ and commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
Prepared by the Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe (ERI SEE) Secretariat, the Action Plan builds on the valuable contributions and inputs collected before, during, and after the regional Energy Transition and Human Capital Development meeting, held in Skopje in July 2025.
The meeting brought together vocational education and training (VET) and energy sector experts, representatives of ministries of education, VET and qualifications agencies, chambers of commerce, and business sector stakeholders from the six Western Balkan economies. Its primary objective was to discuss and endorse the regional Action Plan, which outlines recommended education sector activities to support the renewable energy transition.
