First Regional Meeting for the development of a regional training programme for external evaluators

First Regional Meeting for the development of a regional training programme for external evaluators within the project Enhancements in the quality of education and training in SEE – EQET SEE and its Quality Assurance (QA) component was held in Belgrade, Serbia, on 27 and 28 February 2024.

Over a two-day period, the Regional Working Group collaborated with the EQET SEE National Coordination Points (NCPs) for Quality Assurance and experts specializing in training development, competences, competence standards, and needs analysis. The participants included representatives from ministries of education and quality assurance agencies in seven economies: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. ERI SEE representatives and Portuguese experts Rosa Celeste de Almeida Micaelo and Isabel Maria Borges Furtado Dias Barata also contributed. Together, they worked on developing a comprehensive regional proposal for a training program designed for external evaluators, aligning with the proposed modules and structure.Twenty nine participants discussed and gave their recommendation for the advancement of proposed module and structure for Regional training programme for external evaluators

In the upcoming period, in April 2024, Second Regional meeting for the Development of regional training programme will be organized in order to fine tune its structure and materials and discuss implementation modalities at regional and national levels.

The EQET SEE project, specifically its QA component, is strategically focusing on analyzing the training needs of external evaluators, developing and implementing training programs, and enhancing human resources management policies. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening the capabilities of quality assurance agencies and external evaluators in South Eastern Europe and Moldova. The overarching objective is to establish more effective, cost-efficient, and collaborative quality assurance processes in pre-tertiary education.
