Fourth meeting of the SEE teacher education and training (SEE TET) network
The Fourth meeting of the SEE teacher education and training (SEE TET) network was organised online by the Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe ERI SEE Secretariat and the European Training Foundation (ETF) on 10th of July 2020.
The meeting was opened by Ms Tina Šarić who presented the results of the Study on the needs analysis systems for CPDs in the region. The Study looked at educational systems in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and focused on
- The existing needs analysis systems used to identify skills needed by teachers
- Use of the results of needs analysis to form the CPD programmes for teachers
- Use of the results of needs analysis to define national priorities
Mr Julian Stanley and Mr Alessandro Brolpito of the European Training Foundation (ETF) presented the concept for development and piloting of self-assessment tool for digital competences of teachers. The tool aims at developing and testing a bottom-up methodology based on a self-assessment process to identify and analysing the digital competences of teachers in SEE countries and at analysing relevant current CPD provision and to assess the ‘digital skills gap’. They presented the steps to be taken by the end of 2020 towards developing the self-assessment tool and invited economies to express their interest in joining the pilot programme.
