Online SICI Workshop on Educational Equity and Excellence
The Standing International Conference of Inspectorates and Education Scotland HMI is organising an on-line SICI-workshop on Educational Equity and Excellence on the 22nd March 2022.
The online workshop from Glasgow will focus on how the inspectorate in Scotland uses inspection evaluation, data and policy work to ensure the education system continues to improve.
The first, keynote speeches at the workshop will be from HMI in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and what happens beyond secondary school in Scotland. The HMI colleagues will share their experiences of how they use inspection practices, policy and research and how this challenges and supports learners and all other educational stakeholders to continue their improvement journey.
The participants will also hear about the HMI strategic work. This session will be led by Janie McManus, the HMI Strategic Director of Scrutiny and Executive member of SICI.
On this occasion, the organisers would also like to offer an opportunity for all international inspectorate colleagues to share how they use inspection practices, policy and research to ensure ongoing impact and improvement in equity and excellence across their own educational system.
