RCF Technical Advisory Committee, North Macedonia 25-26 January 2023
The Technical Advisory Committee of the Regional Challenge Fund in Western Balkans 6 took place for the second time on January 25-26, 2023, in Skopje, North Macedonia.
The two-day workshop gathered VET experts from Western Balkans 6 Chamber Investment Forum, RCF’s partners from KfW German Development Bank and the Swiss Embassy in North Macedonia, VET specialists from WB6, and RCF Fund Management Unit.
The Second TAC was chaired by Mr. Balsa Culafic, Project Coordinator on behalf of the WB6 CIF, and opened with welcoming addresses by Ms. Tatjana Shterjova Dushkovska, CIF WB6 Secretary General, Ms. Viktoria Veidt, Senior Portfolio Manager, KfW German Development Bank, and Mr. Lucien Aegerter, Deputy Head of Mission, Swiss Embassy/Swiss Cooperation in North Macedonia.
The meeting started with updates on the RCF’s ongoing activities, the status of the projects awarded in the First Call and the Second Call selection process status, expected results, and key lessons learned about the cooperative training arrangements in the WB6 region from two open calls. Presentations were delivered by Mr. Frieder Woehrmann, Team Leader, and Mrs. Jelena Manic Radoicic, Deputy Team Leader, of RCF’s Fund Management Unit.
In like manner, VET experts and managers of VET projects from the region shared their success stories in the field of greening VET, VET digitalization, and the regional dimension of cooperative and labour market relevant VET.
The presentations were followed by several workshops where the participants discussed the faced challenges, initiatives, good practices, and the importance of RCF’s role in the VET field.
