The 28th EUSDR Steering Group Meeting of Priority Area 9 “People and Skills”
The 28th Steering Group Meeting of the Priority Area 9 „People and skills“ within the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), was held on 25th June 2025, in online format.
The event was hosted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Institute for International Politics in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Austria, the Federal Ministry of Education of the Republic of Austria, the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, OeAD – Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation and L&R Social Research, with the support of the Interreg Danube Region Programme, co-funded by the European Union.
The Steering Group meeting consisted of important exchanges from relevant stakeholders throughout the Danube region, including the updates on the EUSDR from the Bosnian Presidency, DG REGIO and Danube Strategy Point. The Meeting also gave the floor to representatives of education and labour market ministries from the Danube region, to update the participants on the most recent developments in their respective countries.
One session was dedicated to the state of play regarding specifically the Priority Area 9 of the EUSDR – People and Skills where the news were shared around the Interreg Danube Region Programme, further PA9 events, identification of the PA9 Danube Strategy Flagships for 2025, and adoption of the rolling PA9 Work Programme.
A session was dedicated to the long-standing EUSDR PA9 partners – Education Reform Initiative of South Eastern Europe, European Training Foundation and Danube Youth Council, which presented their current activities and results.
