Working group meeting with Volvo Experts – focus group meeting was organised within the Navigating the Road Ahead: Creating Shared Values in the Trucking Industry in the Western Balkans project, funded by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation partnered with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) 0n 03 and 04 March 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia.

The main goal of the meeting was to collect information from business experts about the occupation of the mechanical technician for heavy duty vehicles and defining key tasks for this occupation, in accordance with the regional template for the regionally based occupational standards (OS):

The participation at the meeting was open to experts in occupational standard development and experts in the sectors of mechanics, machinery or electronics from six Western Balkan Economies. The meeting was also attended by the Volvo experts and ERI SEE and HELVETAS representatives.

The next meeting is scheduled for 18 and 19 March 2025.
